  • ITASCA — Airline Wi-Fi and entertainment provider Gogo has partnered with Chevrolet to offer airline passengers free access to Facebook through Gogo on select Gogo equipped flights through July 20.

  • LAKE BARRINGTON — CTI Industries Corp., a manufacturer and marketer of consumer vacuum sealing systems, foil balloons, latex balloons, printed and laminated films, has launched a new corporate website at www.ctiindustries.com. 
  • NAPERVILLE – Members of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce and the community can now stay connected via the chamber’s new iPhone app.  
  • GrubHub raises $193M in IPO, more than expected
    CHICAGO -- Investors seem ready to eat up GrubHub. The online food delivery company has raised $192.5 million in its initial public offering. 
  • CHICAGO— Online delivery company GrubHub plans to raise up to approximately $177.9 million from its initial public offering, increasing the offering's expected size from $100 million a month ago.

     
  • ELGIN -- An Elgin company is working on building a website that will eventually have a companion mobile app for all things Elgin, from restaurant specials to community events and neighborhood organizations. 
  • CHICAGO -- Phil Stefani Signature Restaurant Group launched a new responsive web site, designed by Plainfield-based web design firm Idea Marketing Group. 
  • CHICAGO  -- Classified Ventures LLC, the media company backed by five newspaper publishers including Tribune Co. and Gannett Co., is working with Moelis & Co. to seek a sale of its Cars.com website, said a person with knowledge of the matter.

     
  • The Local Media Consortium, a national alliance of local media outlets that includes the Daily Herald Media Group -- the parent company of the Daily Herald Business Ledger -- has entered a three-year agreement with Google that will provide consortium members with Google’s search and ad-serving technology, as well as use Google’s ad exchange to develop revenue-generating opportunities.
