CHICAGO --ComEd wants another rate increase to help offset the costs of modernizing Illinois' electric grid.
WASHINGTON -- The federal government Thursday reached a $5.15 billion settlement
with Anadarko Petroleum Corp., the largest ever for environmental
contamination, to settle claims related to the cleanup of thousands of
sites tainted with hazardous chemicals for decades.
CHICAGO — A new survey by a Chicago-based nonprofit
group finds Illinois has more than 96,000 people working in clean-energy
jobs, and the number should top 100,000 this year.
Representatives from ComEd and Nicor Gas energy efficiency programs for business highlighted the need for efficiency measures at the Daily Herald Newsmakers' Forum Thursday.
