OAK BROOK -- Northwestern Mutual’s The McTigue Financial Group was recently presented with the Investing in People Award by the Greater Oak Brook Chamber of Commerce.
The award recognizes the district office for outstanding leadership in growing and developing its people.
“We are especially honored because this award speaks directly to our core mission to grow our people both personally and professionally," said Managing Director Corey McQuade in accepting the award at the chamber’s 2013 annual meeting and awards breakfast.
"Training and development of our people has become part of the fabric of Northwestern Mutual and is a critical tool to advance the company’s business objectives while also meeting the career aspirations of our financial representatives and staff,” he added.
Building a successful practice as a Northwestern Mutual financial representative requires motivation, hard work, and confidence in one's abilities, as well as knowledge of our products and services.
“Our strategic development plan incorporates practices that will guide our financial representatives and their staff through each stage of their career – from establishing their initial business plan, to managing a growing practice, to succession planning,” he noted. “To state it simply- we believe in lifelong learning and we back that up with a team of professionals who mentor, coach, train and develop our representatives and their staff,” McQuade said.
