ROSELLE — Electri-Flex Co. announced plans to expand production into a 52,000 square foot facility on Chancelor Drive in Roselle.
Electri-Flex is an industry leader in electrical conduit.  The new expansion will move approximately half of their current production to the new location.
The expansion to the new facility will increase production output by 50 to 60 pecent, the company said in a release, and will create 25 new jobs in DuPage County.  In addition, Electri-Flex has increased efficiencies in the new facility.
The building was flipped from being a warehouse to heavy industrial, and Electri-Flex Company took the current facility and upgraded the electrical, put in a new roof with 56 skylights to minimize electrical needs, and has installed energy-efficient lighting, company officials said.
Expanding to a larger space allows Electri-Flex to continue providing top of the line products and services to consumers as well as grow their business, according to Electri-Flex CEO Jason Kinander.
“This expansion means a lot to Electri-Flex and its ability to remain a top provider of electrical conduit. Moving into heavy manufacturing not only means bringing jobs to DuPage County, it also allows us to build on our reputation of worldwide quality, service, and product innovation,” said Kinander.
Future plans call for a renovation of the office spaces, concrete work, and other minor upgrades. The facility will be working at full capacity by early summer 2014.
