NAPERVILLE -- The Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Delta Dental of Illinois, elected Jane A. Hays to its board of directors in December 2012.
“I am pleased to welcome Ms. Hays to the Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation Board of Directors,” said Dr. Frank Maggio, chair of the Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation’s board of directors. “Her professional expertise, community involvement and passion for improving the lives of children in Illinois will help the Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation continue to grow and positively impact oral health throughout the state.”
Hays is a managing director for The Downey Group, Inc. which has offices in Champaign and Chicago, Ill. Ms. Hays is a member on several boards including The Carle Foundation (a charitable health care organization), the Illinois Humanities Council, the University of Illinois College of Law Dean’s Advisory Council, Leadership Illinois, and the Champaign County Boys & Girls Club Foundation.

In addition to Hays, the Foundation welcomed five new board members in 2012: Dr. Victor Ricardo Gonzalez, pediatric dentist in Aurora; Susan Hazlett, director of agency communications for State Farm Insurance in Bloomington; Chris Olsen, vice president of community & government affairs for Tate & Lyle; Leslie Richards-Yellen, partner and chief diversity and inclusion officer of Hinshaw & Culbertson, LLC.; Cindy Smalley, director of marketing and communications for Cope Plastics in Alton.
