The DuPage Community Foundation has named Charles B. McKenna of Wheaton and Charles G. Mueller of Glen Ellyn to its board of trustees. McKenna is a retired partner of the accounting and consulting firm Crowe Horwath LLP, where he worked for more than 25 years. In addition to remaining of counsel with Crowe, Mr. McKenna currently serves on the board of directors of Penske Motor Group, the largest privately-owned Toyota and Lexus dealer in North America. He has a long history of community involvement and service, serving as a past board member and current associate member of Metropolitan Family Services and his involvement with Lion's Club International. McKenna also serves as a member of the board of directors for St. Francis High School in Wheaton and has been a longtime religious education instructor for St. Daniel the Prophet in Wheaton.
Mueller is a senior vice president and practice executive of The Northern Trust Company's Advisory Services Practice. Mueller is responsible for leading the Practice's strategy development and execution. The Advisory Services Practice includes Northern's Fiduciary services and several specialty advisory capabilities including: Philanthropic Services, Family Governance and Education, Tax Strategies, Financial Consulting, Family Business, Real Estate, Oil, Gas and Minerals. Mueller's community service history includes acting as a Big Brother, a volunteer for The Conservation Foundation, and a past president of the Butterfield Park District. Currently, Mueller is the board chair of the Nature Conservancy in Illinois and a volunteer pilot. He is also a former board chair of Lifeline Pilots.
