MUNDELEIN - Medline Industries re3cently earned top honors as the best place to work in the medical supplies industry, according to a newly released survey of more than 1,000 sales representatives conducted by, a leading career resource website.

According to's 2014 survey report, Medline, the largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of medical supplies in the country, "has a reputation for taking care of its people. Opportunities abound with this fast-paced company, and a growing number of medical sales professionals say Medline is their employer of choice."

The third annual best places to work survey said that Medline, which has more than 1,100 dedicated sales representatives, ranked high for having a strong product line, which was cited by survey participants as the most important criteria when evaluating prospective employers. Medline also ranked very high as it related to corporate culture and employee growth, specifically its competitive compensation and commission structure.

Medline believes the sales function is so crucial to the success of the company that many of the company's upper management came from sales positions, including the three senior leaders: Chief Executive Officer Charlie Mills, President Andy Mills and Chief Operating Officer Jim Abrams.
